Name: Sergeant Wilkes Died: 1740 This is the guy who administered Jamie's first flogging. He was killed about the time that Jamie escaped from Fort William the second time (the first flogging was for escaping in the first place when he was being held for "obstruction"). Jamie was charged with Sergeant Wilkes' murder. Hugh Munro heard that a Redcoat deserter named Horrocks knew who really killed Sergeant Wilkes and would reveal the answer for a price, and the meeting finally took place in S01-E09, while Claire is supposed to be hiding in a copse of trees with Willie keeping an eye on her.
