Young Roger was adopted by his great uncle when he was two years old after both of his parents died in World War II. He was raised by the Reverend Wakefield and his housekeeper Mrs. Graham. He made his first appearance in the Outlander story in S01-E08 in a scene where Frank was unconvinced that Claire had been swept downstream by a strong current as the Reverend suggested. Roger and Mrs. Graham brought tea and biscuits to the men.
