Name: Sir Marcus MacRannoch He has a wife and three bairns and lives at Eldridge House near Wentworth Prison. He's reluctant to help Claire rescue Jamie because he fears the Redcoats will retaliate. Claire offers to pay him with Jamie's mother Ellen's pearls, and when he sees them, he realizes who Jamie is. Turns out he courted Ellen way back when, and gave her the pearls as a wedding present. He has a servant name Absalom who takes care of his cattle.
