Included in Lord John and the Hand of Devils, which is a collection of three novellas that fit between books 3 Voyager and 4 Drums of Autumn in the Outlander timeline, but are not essential to the main story.

In this tale, Lord John investigates a terrifying "night-hag" on the battlefields of Europe.
