"A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows" (1940) — First in a series of Outlander Short Stories

Included in A Trail of Fire collection of four "Outlander"-related novellas.

This short story tells the WWII tale of Roger MacKenzie's parents Jerry and Dolly, as Jerry discovers for himself the mystery of the standing stones.

Roger's side of this part of the Outlander story can be found in Written In My Own Heart's Blood, starting at the end of Chapter 43 when Roger finds his father's dog tags (in 1739).
